Turns out the Nexus One may not be so dead after all…

Due to some AMOLED display shortages it is reported that HTC is going to switch to SLCD AKA SUPER LCD on some of its super phones.

While the news about the screen change is all around the net the fine print in many articles reads “and global Nexus One later this summer”…

WHAT???

Even though it appeared the Nexus One in all forms was as good as dead.  It seems this “global” version is alive and kicking even after Google runs out of its stock

IT’S ALIVE!!!!

I have a soft spot for the Nexus one.  I firmly believe Google holds a warm spot in its heart for this plucky little phone and will keep updating it before others (even newer models) in its class.

The phone is a contender and even though Google’s direct sales model didn’t work out there is no denying it’s still a top tier phone.

Just wish mine had the new screen…
